AnswerMap ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@answermap.co.
Account information. When you register, we collect your agency name, email address, and hashed password. We do not store plaintext passwords.
Client brand data. For each client you add, we store the brand name, domain, vertical/industry, list of competitors, and any custom queries you configure. This data is entered by you and belongs to you.
Usage data. We log when analyses are run, report generation events, login times, and feature interactions. This is used for service reliability and product improvement.
Billing information. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe. We store only non-sensitive billing metadata such as your Stripe customer ID, subscription plan, and billing status. We never see or store your full card number.
Communications. If you contact us by email, we retain those communications to resolve your issue and improve our support.
AnswerMap uses the following third-party processors. Each processes only the data necessary to perform its function:

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing by third parties.
We retain your account data, client brand configurations, and historical analysis results for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 30 days during which you may request a data export, after which it is deleted from our production systems.
Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days in encrypted off-site storage before full deletion.
Delete your account = delete all your data. When you request account deletion, we permanently delete your agency profile, all client brands, all historical analysis runs, and all associated report data within 30 days.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed password storage, and restricted access controls. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
